In a word – fun.  With nearly 100 different LSA manufacturers, the choice was far from easy.  We spent a great deal of time researching the different models and finally settled on the Tecnam Sierra, one of the best handling and easiest LSAs to fly.  It also has a canopy that slides back during flight to give you that amazing ‘cruising down the freeway with the top down’ feeling…except your actually FLYING!

Tecnam has been making airplanes in Italy since the 1950’s and has been a major supplier to Boeing for many years.  In 1986, Tecnam began building general aviation aircraft, and quickly built up a reputation for making reliable airplanes that were inexpensive to operate and maintain.  Once we flew with the canopy pushed back, the Tecnam Sierra became the instant favorite and the obvious choice for Sea and Sky Aviation.
